Just The Best
There are so many JTB bitches about the country, and Trewly Special and Go Forever suit them perfectly. There is a fabulous link between JTB’s immediate damline and Bomber Gleeson who appears in the damline of both stud dogs. Bomber Gleeson and JTB’s second dam Tenthill Flyer are bred on the same cross, by Chariot Supreme out of a Tangairn bitch. So when Trewly Special and Go Forever mate a daughter of JTB, Bomber Gleeson and Tenthill Flyer will be linked perfectly through the middle of the pedigree … ideal!
Worth Doing sireline
The fact that Trewly Special and Go Forever carry the Worth Doing bitch National Dingaan in their damline, lends them perfectly for a mating with any bitches from the Worth Doing/Credibility/Just The Best (see above) sireline. Putting these bitches to either Trewly Special or Go Forever brings in a great balance to Worth Doing.
Token Prince
There are so many great daughters of Token Prince about the country and they all need an ideal mate for their breeding exploits. Trewly Special and Go Forever are just perfect for them because of the fact the two dogs carry Buka Sunset in their immediate damline. Token Prince is a grandson of Malawi, a litter brother of Buka Sunset. And when Malawi and Buka Sunset are matched together, there is often an explosion. Bombastic Shiraz is bred exactly this way.
Bobniak
One of the great crosses in greyhound racing today is that between Brett Lee (sire of Trewly Special and Go Forever) and daughters of Bobniak. Examples of this are the Group performers Hallucinate, Meticulous, Where’s Pedro and Prang etc. The great nick comes about because Bobniak’s dam Paris Match and Brett Lee’s sire Gun Law Osti both come from the famed Osti Lee damline. It is also extremely interesting to note that record breaking sprinter Cromlah Bale is by Brett Lee out of a daughter of Farloe Melody* (sire of Bobniak). So anyone with daughter of Bobniak should head straight to either Trewly Special or Go Forever to pick up on one of the great nicks in Australian greyhound breeding.
The Osti Lee damline
The doubling-up of the Osti Lee damline is proving a goldmine for breeders with the foresight to do it (see Bobniak above). There are so many bitches who boast the Osti Lee damline and are ideally suited to either Trewly Special or Go Forever. Daughters of Prince Of Tigers will be especially well suited to either of these two stud dogs.
Light Of Fire/Awesome Assassin
With New Tears being present as the damsire of Brett Lee (sire of both Trewly Special and Go Forever), the perfect opportunity to balance New Tears’ presence is through his son Light Of Fire or his grandson Awesome Assassin. The sensational Regal Brett is by Brett Lee from a daughter of Awesome Assassin. Brett Lee has worked exceptionally well when his progeny have a double-up of New Tears in their pedigree.
Black Shiraz sireline
You will notice that Trewly Special and Go Forever are void of any Black Shiraz blood. Therein lies a great opportunity to mate bitches from this sireline to these two great young stud dogs. Black Shiraz has already worked perfectly with sons of Brett Lee. The outstanding gallopers Axe Handle and Hot To Rumble are by a son of Brett Lee out of a Black Shiraz bitch. And the champion galloper and now fine sire Elgrando is by Black Shiraz out of a daughter of Gun Law Osti (grandsire of Trewly Special and Go Forever).
US sirelines
Brett Lee has already made a name for himself with progeny in the US including All American Dragon Fire, and the record breaking Trent Lee. The former is out of a daughter of Molotov (a son of HB’s Commandar), and the latter is out of a bitch that carries lots of Downing in her pedigree. Therein lies a key for Trewly Special and Go Forever. They too should match perfectly with bitches that come from these lines.
Irish/English Imports
In the past few years Australian greyhound breeding has been inundated with the bloodlines of Irish sire Spiral Nikita and Staplers Jo and his son Larkhill Jo. From now, their daughters will be making their presence felt as broodbitches. All are ideal to go to Trewly Special and Go Forever. Last year’s Irish Derby winner Razldazle Billy is by Brett Lee from a Staplers Jo bitch. This year’s star English Group performer Geordie Parker is by Brett Lee from a daughter of Spiral Nikita. As we said, daughters of these sires will be perfect to go to either Trewly Special or Go Forever. Grove Whisper* bitches have already proven their worth to Brett Lee and the Brother Fox sireline in particular. Bond is bred on this cross. Head Honcho double-up
Both Trewly Special and Go Forever carry Head Honcho as the second sire of their dam the champion producer Chloe Jones. Therein lies a great opportunity to put bitches by Head Honcho, or bitches that carry Head Honcho through his daughters, to these two great young stud dogs. This will balance Head Honcho one of Australia’s foremost sources of “chase”.
